Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar browser technologies can remember a session, a preference, or a security setting. LegacySanctuary uses these tools only as needed to provide the website and the signed-in platform experience.
2. Strictly necessary cookies and authentication
When you sign in, the platform may use session information to recognize your authenticated browser and protect account pages. These technologies support the dashboard, church access requests, invitations, memorial editing, service files, and other features that require a signed-in account. They cannot be disabled through an in-app preference because the related features would not work without them.
3. Preferences stored in your browser
LegacySanctuary may store preference information in your browser, including your light or dark theme and selected sidebar settings. These preferences help the interface open the way you left it. They do not give us ownership of your device or access to unrelated browsing activity. You can remove stored preferences through your browser settings.
4. Analytics and similar technologies
This app does not currently describe or enable an optional third-party analytics cookie category. We may review technical information needed to keep the service reliable, secure, and available, but we do not add advertising cookies to the memorial experience. If that approach changes, we will update this policy before introducing a new optional category.
5. Third-party services
Some features rely on service providers for authentication, cloud storage, email delivery, or other platform operations. A provider may use its own necessary browser or security technology when you use the related feature. Those providers handle information under their own privacy notices and contractual responsibilities. LegacySanctuary does not use third-party advertising cookies to target congregation members.
6. Your browser controls
Most browsers let you view, block, delete, or limit cookies and stored site data. You can find these controls in your browser privacy or site settings. Blocking all stored data may sign you out, reset theme preferences, prevent invitation acceptance, or stop other account features from working. The exact steps vary by browser and device.
7. Policy updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when the platform, service providers, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest version. We encourage church administrators and account holders to review this page when they notice a new date.
8. Contact LegacySanctuary
If you have a question about browser storage, cookies, or this policy, contact us at support@legacysanctuary.com. We will explain the relevant platform behavior in clear terms and help you find the right browser setting.
